About the power of attorney
The scope of the power of attorney is agreed in advance and covers only what your project requires – for example taking over the property from the developer and opening utility accounts. A power of attorney issued abroad usually needs to be notarised and, where required, apostilled or legalised.
The information on this page is general and does not constitute legal advice. Please consult a lawyer about your specific situation.
Questions from clients abroad
Do you work with clients who live abroad?
Yes. We hold video meetings at times that suit you, send weekly photo and video reports, materials are approved online, and the property handover and utility accounts can be handled under a power of attorney. We can also keep the keys for you.
How do payments work?
In stages: an advance when the contract is signed, prepayment of made-to-measure furniture when it is ordered, interim payments as stages are signed off, and a final instalment when the keys are handed over. Exact amounts are in the contract.
How long does the whole process take?
The design takes 3–6 weeks. Works for a 2-room apartment with Package 3 usually take 8–12 weeks after Act 16. If the apartment first needs bringing to base level, add 2–4 weeks. Timelines are indicative – the specific deadline is set in the contract.
What happens if the developer delays Act 16?
The design and early orders do not depend on Act 16 and continue as planned. The works schedule moves with the actual date we get access to the apartment. The contract describes how such cases are handled – for example storage of furniture that is already made. For your relationship with the developer, please consult a lawyer.
Tell us about your apartment
The first consultation is free and without obligation. We will look at the condition of the property, which package fits and what timeline is realistic.
